How the math works
The total is the plain count of days from one date to the other. January 1 to January 31 is 30 days, which is 4 full weeks and 2 extra days.
Business days counts the Monday to Friday days after the start date, up to and including the end date. That is the count most deadlines actually mean: the same January span holds 21 business days. Order does not matter; swap the dates and the answer is the same.
